MOVE UPDATE
EFFECTIVE January 4, 2010, Bulk Mail customers must use a postal-approved MOVE UPDATE method for mailing list corrections.
What is MOVE UPDATE?
It is a USPS standard that requires mailers to select one of he postal-approved methods to periodically update the addresses contained within a mailing list by comparing the address records on the mailing list against customer filed change of address orders (COA) and making the necessary changes before mailing.
Mail Movers can help! We can take your list BEFORE you prepare your mailing, compare it to the COA data bank and make the corrections to your list, as well as provide a written report of the changes. We can provide you with the documentation that the postal service will be looking for with your mailing statement.
If you have already processed your letter-sized mail, we can run it through our MLOCR equipment to verify the addresses, qualifying it for MOVE UPDATE standards.
